بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Alhamdulillah, looking back on my last post (which was long forgotten until my google search of, yes, my name) =)
...a lot has been done, subhan Allah.
Updates on the checklist >>>

We didn't have a written marriage contract, and may Allah grant us success in our marriage (alhamdulillah the successes have begun, so may Allah continue to bless us with His mercy, Ameen)

My dress was ordered, tried on uhh... MANY times before the wedding... and is now hanging in ''our'' closet in Guyana. I love sharing things ;D

As for my Visa... =( I didn't get it before getting married. So at the end of September I had to leave London (I was only here as a visitor for less than a month) and waited in the USA til the end of October for my VISA to clear, which it did, alhamdulillaah always. Then, back here! =) It's good until 2011 or 2012 I believe.

When I arrived, i didn't start working right away. Actually, my husband knew a sister that used to work in a school in Guyana, and is a part of the secondary school here (Al Muntada). She conducted my interview along with the prinicipal of the Primary Dept and I got a job as a TA for KS2, which basically means Years 3, 4, 5, & 6. If you're in America, replace Years with Grades. heh... the differences in this country I tell you =P

The tickets to London were taken care of in Guyana.

My shoes... were red! I don't usually show my toes, I guess the comfort of my flowing dress didn't have me too dazed about that part... and to be honest, those shoes did NOT stay on my feet for more than an hour or 2, tops. Thanks Wakeema khala, Saudah, and Bettina for shoe shopping with me =) If only Safiyyah coulda been there, and maybe Sabina, Abqara, Adilah, Samirah, Aminah... I could go on... you know what they say about too many cooks though!

Ok well, gotta go. There are soooooooooo many things to do now.
For home, school, work, this summer, family, etc, etc & etc!
I do enjoy it profusely, especially the home part <3
Did I say alhamdulillah already? We could NEVER praise Allah enough. Alhamdulillah!

May Allah keep us united as Muslims and grant us the best of this life and the hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the fire, Ameen.
